SLAM Ocean Waves Jacket

This is the garment with the most innovative technological content currently on the market. The O.W.S.B. jacket has revolutionised the concept of oilskins, improving the performance of previous models and at the same time becoming more comfortable and lighter. It has a 3-layer structure, resistant to a 20 m water column and breathable (5000 g of water vapour per square metre of fabric over 24 hours) with thermo-taped seams and ergonomic styling throughout. The double front flap has been replaced by a Riri Storm 8 zip, which is guaranteed waterproof to 1.7 bar pressure. It also features: foldaway ergonomic hood with 3 quick adjustments and polyester fleece lined collar, double windproof front flap on the collar, 500D Cordura reinforcements with double PU coating, Reflexite reflecting strips, double entry external front pockets with removable fleece lining and hole for water drainage and thermo-laminated quick adjust drawstring waist.

SLAM Ocean Wave Pants

Matching the jacket the O.W.S.B. Dungarees guarantee equivalent performance. Here too the front opening flap has been eliminated in favour of a watertight Riri Storm 8 zip and the side pockets have high resistance Riri Décor UV zips. The elastic braces are quick release, linked to stretch netting on the back and they have 500D Cordura reinforcing on the knees and seat with removable padding.

Musto HPX Gore-tex Offshore Jacket

This is the older model HPX with out the fancy strech Gor Tex . Getaway still have about 5 pcs in stock of this older style. It's hard to get your hands on this style since the newer model came out in later 03 but some good things never change. The price is great and will save you a bit on the newer model ( almost $400 ) and the quality , style and finish is almost identical. We have sold over 50 sets of these to our offshore students and race crew.

Musto MPX Offshore Race Jacket

The Musto MPX Gore-tex Offshore Race Jacket is designed for lengthy offshore and coastal sailing, with less weight and bulk compared to the MPX offshore jacket. Most of the features are the same, including an adjustable fluorescent hood, reflective safety strips, lifejacket attatchments and virtual drysuit cuffs. However , the handwarming pockets are situated behind the lower cargo pockets allowing easier movement around the chest. Also, the fleeced collar is lower allowing better neck movement and visability, especially useful in race conditions. Although lighter, the garment offers plenty of storage space with two self draining pockets, inner security pocket and handwarmins pockets. Both the new technical zip and cuff pull tab features are included, along with articulated elbows and knees and two way zip. The jacket is worn with the MPX Race Salopettes

SLAM Russel Coutts Spray Top

Spray top produced with input from Russell Coutts. Extremely light, it is useful for days when there is heavy spray. Characterised by thermo-taped stitching, the waterproof nature of the garment is guaranteed without breathability being compromised - a basic requirement for those who are out on a boat hour after hour. The cuffs are in neoprene for maximum grip and have a closure with an ergonomic grip. The back features two reflective oval inserts in ReflexiteÆ. The double collar with double closure is guaranteed to keep water and wind out. Ronstan Smock Top

If you want to keep the spray off you, keep your mobility, keep light weight and not bulked up, then this is for you. You can not go wrong at this made price. Its very water proof and is made from breathable material. Not bad for the price. Has sealed neck and cuffs and cool logos on the arm. Alot of my crew wear it for Twilight sailing and short coastal passages in summer. Reg Carter loves this top and never goes sailing with out it. Now all i have to do is talk him into Musto HPX for the big trip south this summer!
